The IQOQI Summer School 2024 will give you the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the fields of quantum optics and quantum information and into the fascinating quantum physics research conducted in Innsbruck and Vienna.
The course subjects will be covered in about 10 lectures by renowned scientists from the Institutes of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the Austrian Academy of Sciences as well as from the University of Innsbruck and the University of Vienna. In addition, students will be given the opportunity to visit the state-of-the-art laboratories at both locations. There will also be a poster session for students to present their research.
The Summer School is primarily aimed at students at a masters or early PhD level. Students should have already some good knowledge of quantum physics as well as atomic and optical physics.
Lecture Topics in Vienna
- Quantum Sources of Gravity in Experiments (Markus Aspelmeyer)
- Quantum Coordinates and Relativity of Superpositions (Caslav Brukner)
- Table Top Quantum Gravity Theory: A status report (Marios Christodoulou)
- Why Quantum Theory? (Markus Müller)
- Quantum Nonlocality (Miguel Navascues)
Lecture Topics in Innsbruck
